Yongmaland is an abandoned amusement park that encapsulates the state of capitalism—some make it big, but many never, and some get phased out. Having appeared in pop media in recent years, people are regaining interest in this place, not as an amusement park but as a place for photo shoots.
Although it’s a short walk from Mangu Station and an even shorter walk from the bus stops, its hidden location is probably part of the reason why it had to be closed down. But disregarding that, 5,000 KRW for unlimited photo opportunities isn’t too bad a deal, right?
