Some people would question if it’s worth spending over two and a half hours (one-way) to get to Pocheon Herb Island, but I think it isn’t a big issue if you have access to the free wi-fi on the subway, or if you’re going with friends. I suspect it’d be better to come in a large group, because only then can you get a try at some of the hands-on activities. This a theme park where there’s a little something for everyone: For people who are into flowers and herbs, there’s the botanic garden and herb museum, and for people who are into fragrances or handmade soap, there’s the aroma centre; for the retrophiliac, there is a memory lane that allows you to take a little peek into the olden days of Korea, and for the dreamers, there’s a Santa Village, where they also hold light festivals during winter; and finally, for the foodies, there’s a cafe, a bakery and a couple of restaurants, where you could sit down to have a drink or a meal.
