Seoul has seen rapid developments over the past decade, especially with Hallyu going strong for the past ten years at least. But there are days when I feel like Seoul hasn’t changed a lot since I first visited in 2003.
I visited the Ahyeon neighbourhood out of curiosity one day; it was the neighbourhood I always saw from far when I’m on the bus but never thought to visit simply because no one’s really ever talked about visiting Ahyeon, except maybe Seoul Sub-urban.
If you think Seoul is all glitz and glamour, then maybe a trip to Ahyeon might change your perspective. Meanwhile, I’m heading back to Sinchon, where all the fun is.
