2016 seemed like the year for mobile characters, with Kakao Friends following the footsteps of Line Friends—a subsidiary of Kakao—in expanding its character-themed cafe business. I personally prefer Ryan Cafe to Line Cafe, because it seems brighter and more spacious, and also partly because I am biased towards Ryan and Apeach. <3
