I’d heard that Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm is better visited during summer or in winter, but we thought it wasn’t a bad idea to visit in autumn, when the weather is cool but not chilly, and when we can still enjoy a little bit of sunshine and greenery.
We couldn’t be more wrong.
Dressed in thin jackets, X and I couldn’t stop shivering the moment we got off the bus at Hoenggye (횡계) Intercity Bus Terminal but having travelled all the way here, there was no turning back. We were to brave the cold and head to the farm.
We paid 10,000KRW for a taxi up to the cafeteria to warm ourselves up with bowls of warm soupy food before finding our way to the sheeps… that have already found their way back into their wooden shacks because of the bad weather.
Feeling their warm breaths on my hand while feeding them brightened us up in what would otherwise have been a dampening (geddit?) trip in to foggy weather.
