During my short hike around Yangmingshan—one of the national parks easily accessible from downtown—P and I saw no less than five couples getting their pre-wedding shots done. I could see why, because it was indeed a very photogenic grassland.
P then suggested that I bring my clients here. To be honest, I don’t think I can beat the value clients will get from engaging an established studio in Taiwan—most packages are relatively affordable (to Singaporeans), and you will be driven around to locations in a van. Apart from the photographer, there are also assistants and perhaps a makeup artist. You also get to choose a couple of gowns and smart-looking suits that instantly turns your pre-wedding photos into a fairytale.
As a solo freelance photographer, I might be able to try to beat the price, but in all honesty, I cannot provide that 一条龙服务 / all-in-one experience.
P’s comment led me thinking, however.
“My friend recently had their pre-wedding photos done too. It’s beautiful. But it’s pretty standard.” (Loosely translated.)
These experienced pre-wedding photographers have found the perfect formula to taking beautiful, glamorous and dramatic photographs in the shortest amount of time. Some couples want that. But there are also couples that yearn for a style that is simpler and more natural. And that’s exactly where I come in to fill the void.

Don’t forget to also bring some light snacks and drinks along for your hike.
