We’re all to work from home starting from today and we’re not to meet anyone besides the ones who live with us in the same house.
At times like this, I wish I specialise in food and product photography because I might have a better chance at shooting from home. But I don’t. So I’ve officially lost my source of income as a photographer and videographer. At least for a month… or maybe longer than that since Covid-19 and its aftermath is here to stay.
It would be silly to not use this period of time to pick up new skills and/or build another side business. So what can I do, with all the time in the world now? Besides getting back to writing, I’ve updated my shop with new phone case designs (buy one and show some love?), on top of messing around with TikTok to see what kind of content I could produce that will attracts eyeballs. TikTok is an entirely different platform from Instagram and YouTube—where high quality videos and photos gain attention—and I’m still testing things out.
As a creative, there’s just so many things that I want to try and to create. Perhaps it might be a good idea to start building a portfolio for food and product photography as well.
Now, I just need to gather some things to shoot at home…
