After having white jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk at Incheon Chinatown, X and I headed over to Wolmido. While Wolmido probably isn’t the most interesting place in Incheon and is definitely less photogenic than Fairytale Village, it has its quiet, rustic charm.
The theme park here is not going to beat the experience you will get in Lotte World or Everland, neither is it more convenient to get to than Yongmaland if getting some instagrammable pictures is your goal. But if you are in Incheon and looking forward to some old-school viking ship and bumper car fun, I think this is the place to go to.
We also found a mural village in the area, and although the murals here are less bold and flashy compared to the ones at Ihwa Mural Village in Seoul, they have a kind of dreaminess that reminds me of Jimmy Liao’s (幾米) works.
